Simple tips for applying, cleaning and caring for your stickers so they look their best and last as long as possible.

Help Your Stickers Look Their Best
Correct preparation and application can make a significant difference to how your stickers look and how long they last. Please follow the guidance below before applying them.

Premium Outdoor Vinyl is waterproof and weather-resistant. Paper stickers and Standard
Indoor Vinyl are not suitable for prolonged contact with water or outdoor use.
Before Applying Your Sticker
Apply your sticker to a clean, completely dry and smooth surface.
Suitable surfaces include:
- Glass
- Smooth plastic
- Metal
- Smooth painted surfaces
- Packaging, jars, bottles and containers
Avoid applying to:
- Rough or heavily textured surfaces
- Fabric, rubber or silicone
- Dirty, greasy or damp surfaces
- Sharp curves, ridges or uneven shapes
- Surfaces exposed to extreme heat
If applying to a valuable, delicate, painted or coated surface, test one sticker
on a small inconspicuous area first. Adhesive suitability can vary between surfaces.
How to Apply Your Sticker
- Clean the surface Remove all dust, grease, oil and moisture.
- Allow it to dry fully Stickers may not bond correctly to damp or recently cleaned surfaces.
- Peel from the backing Avoid touching the adhesive side where possible.
- Position it carefully Once pressed down, repositioning may weaken or damage the adhesive.
- Press from the centre outwards Smooth the sticker towards the edges to help remove trapped air.
- Allow time to bond Leave it for approximately 24 hours before washing, heavy handling or outdoor exposure.
A clean vinyl squeegee, bank card or similar flat-edged tool can help produce
a smoother finish. Wrap the edge in a soft cloth to reduce the risk of scratching.
Applying to Curved Surfaces
Stickers work best on flat or gently curved surfaces. Tight curves can place additional strain on the adhesive and may cause the edges to lift.
On bottles, jars and cups, apply the sticker slowly and press firmly from the centre towards each edge.
Do not stretch or force the sticker around a curve.
Avoid applying over sharp corners, deep ridges, flexible materials or unusually
shaped areas.
Waterproof & Outdoor Use
Premium Outdoor Vinyl stickers are printed using eco-solvent inks and are suitable for indoor and outdoor use when applied correctly.
They are waterproof and weather-resistant, but their lifespan will depend on the surface, placement, exposure and level of wear.
For the longest life, avoid:
- Heavy abrasion or scratching
- Harsh chemicals and solvents
- Pressure washing
- Prolonged extreme heat
- Constant rubbing or handling
- Dishwashers
Paper stickers and Standard Indoor Vinyl are not waterproof and should be kept
away from moisture and outdoor exposure.
Bottles, Cups & Containers
Premium Outdoor Vinyl stickers can be applied to bottles, jars, cups and similar items where the surface is smooth, clean and dry.
For best results:
- Allow at least 24 hours for the adhesive to bond.
- Wash gently by hand.
- Avoid scrubbing directly over the sticker.
- Do not soak the item for long periods.
- Do not place the decorated item in a dishwasher.
Although Premium Outdoor Vinyl is waterproof, dishwasher heat, strong detergents
and repeated high-pressure washing can reduce the life of both the adhesive and print.
Storing Unused Stickers
Store unused stickers flat in a cool, dry place until they are needed.
- Keep them away from direct sunlight.
- Avoid heat and high humidity.
- Do not bend, fold or tightly roll the sheets.
- Keep the backing paper clean and dry.
- Store them away from dust and contaminants.
Poor storage may cause the backing paper to curl or affect the adhesive before the sticker is applied.
Safety Information
Stickers are intended for decorative and functional labelling use only. They are not suitable for children under three years, as small parts may present a choking hazard.
Do not ingest. Keep stickers away from open flames and extreme heat.
